Terms & Conditions

Welcome to TidyScot, Scotland’s first clean-tech cleaning social enterprise. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or booking a service, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.


 1. Services
TidyScot provides professional, eco-conscious cleaning services for residential, commercial, and specialist spaces. Our services are delivered using energy-efficient tools, biodegradable products, and sustainable methods.
We do not publish fixed pricing on our website. Instead, clients can request a free, no-obligation quote, which will detail scope, custom pricing, and scheduling based on their specific needs.


2. Quotes and Bookings

  • All pricing is provided through a formal quote after consultation or submission of a service request.

  •  Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Bookings are confirmed only once the client accepts the quote in writing or via our online booking confirmation.

  • We reserve the right to revise a quote before service begins if the job scope has changed or been misrepresented.


 3. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due according to the terms stated in the accepted quote.

  • For one-time services, payment is generally due prior to or on the day of service.

  • For recurring or contract services, invoices may be issued weekly or monthly as agreed.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, debit/credit card, and other methods specified at time of booking.

 

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, staff illness).

 

5. Customer Obligations
Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when requesting quotes.

  • Ensure safe and unobstructed access to the premises on the scheduled day.

  • Remove or secure valuables, fragile items, or sensitive materials.

  • Notify TidyScot in advance of any hazards, allergies, or special cleaning requirements.

 

6. Liability and Insurance

  • TidyScot is fully insured for public liability and employer’s liability.

  • We take great care to deliver services professionally; however, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or wear

  • Items not secured before cleaning

  •  Delays caused by circumstances outside our control

Any damage claims must be reported in writing within 48 hours of service delivery.

 

7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website; including text, images, branding, and materials—is the property of TidyScot and may not be reproduced or redistributed without written permission.

 

8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

 

9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
